The dog boarding facility is located by the Nidelva in Nordset in Trondheim!

We look after your dog whether you need it for a day, a long weekend or while you are on a longer holiday.

 

We offer indoor and outdoor spaces with their own stalls protected from rain and wind. The dog boarding facility is established on a small farm in rural surroundings with proximity to forests, water and plenty of space outside for play and exercise.

 

We are a small dog boarding facility and only offer 5 spaces so that all dogs get enough attention and care. The indoor stalls where they sleep consist of 2 larger and 3 standard stalls. The large stalls are large enough for 2 dogs from the same family to be together.

New opening hours from August 20th for delivery and collection are every day from 5-6pm.

 

ABOUT ME

My name is Elena.

I am the owner and operator of the dog boarding facility. I love dogs and have extensive experience with different dog breeds. My philosophy is that you should not have more dogs than you can give them enough love and attention. We emphasize that all dogs should get enough time for walks and attention so that their stay at the dog boarding facility is similar to the dog's routines at home with their owner. The dogs go out for a walk every day. In addition, they have the opportunity to play in the playgrounds and in the garden. We cannot fully replace the owners' care. Our job is to make the stay as good as possible until the owner returns. 

Information!

We are concerned that dogs that come to us are healthy, so as not to infect other dogs during their stay, which should be safe and well. For prevention, we need the cooperation of the dog's owner.

 

In collaboration with the owner, important information is recorded when the dog arrives, regarding: the dog's status with regard to health and necessary vaccinations as well as general information about the dog's behavior - status of socialization with other dogs as well as other information that is important to know during the dog's stay.

We would like to point out that all dogs must have a collar and leash with them to the Dog Boarding House in addition to a dog harness for those who use this!

 

Please respect the agreed time for check-in or check-out. If there is an agreed time for check-in or check-out, please respect the agreed time so that the working day can be planned in the best possible way for the dogs staying at the boarding house.

Price and conditions for stay at Nordset Dog Boarding House

Standard conditions for the stay:

When booking, we will send the dog's owner our standard conditions for the dog's stay with important information.

 

Prices from 2025:

 

Prices outside of high season

1 dog 500 NOK incl. VAT per day..

Price for 2 dogs from the same owner, living in the same stall, 750 NOK incl. VAT per day.

Price for an apartment for one dog, NOK 600,- incl. VAT per day.

 

With a day as follows: for example, the dog arrives on a Friday and is picked up on a Sunday

then two days are counted.

 

Prices in high season:

1 dog 600 NOK incl. VAT per day.

Price for 2 dogs from the same owner, living in the same stall, 900 NOK incl. VAT per day.

Price for an apartment for one dog, NOK 650,- incl. VAT per day.

New Year's Eve NOK 1000,- for those who book less than 3 days of stay.

 

High season is considered to be the following: Winter holiday, Easter holiday, summer holiday (June 15 to August 20), autumn holiday, Christmas holiday, from December 23 to January 2.

Two days are considered as follows: for example, if the dog arrives on a Friday during check-in time (5-6 pm) and is picked up on a Sunday during check-out time (5-6 pm), then two days are considered.

 

Other:

The owner is obliged to notify before check-in if the dog has come into heat, so that we can make arrangements for such a situation. An additional fee of NOK 50 per day is charged for extra cleaning for dogs that have or come into heat during the stay.

 

The owner brings the dog's bed or blanket for the stay as well as toys for the dog during the stay. The owner is also free to bring anything else that the dog is attached to.

 

We have the following times for check-in and check-out time

Check-in and check-out time are every day: 5-6 pm.

On Easter Eve, May 17, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve we are closed for check-in and check-out.

Deviations from our regular Check-in and check-out time must be arranged in advance - we do not have drop-ins.

If you show up at Nordset dog boarding without an appointment, it is possible that personnel will not be there. We also do not want visits or arrivals without an appointment to prevent unwanted incidents. The reason for this is that we may be walking with dogs or have dogs playing freely in the garden.

Deviations from fixed times for check-in and check-out time:

For the best possible planning of the day for the dogs' benefit, we want all check-ins and check-outs to follow the dog boarding facility's fixed times for check-in and drop-off. Should there be deviations from these times, the following applies. For arrivals and departures outside of fixed times, a fee of Weekdays and weekends NOK 300,- between 08:00 and 21:00. Holidays NOK 350,- between 08:00 and 21:00

 

Cancellation:

The following rules apply to cancellations:

 

Cancellation or change of stay in high season

Cancellation rules in high season, from 1 May to 1 September, autumn holidays, Christmas holidays, winter holidays and Easter holidays:

 

a) If the stay is cancelled 40 days before the stay, the cancellation is free of charge.
b) If the stay is cancelled up to 30 days before the agreed date, a cancellation fee of NOK 500 is paid.
c) If the stay is cancelled between 29 and 21 days before the agreed delivery, 50% of the original cost for the entire stay is covered.
d) If the stay is cancelled less than 21 days before the agreed delivery, the stay is covered 100% of the agreed cost.

 

If you wish to change the duration of the stay, pick-up time, this must be done no later than 3 days before arrival/departure.

 

Extension or postponement of the agreed pick-up time for the stay can only be made if there is space available.

 

It is possible to ask about this at any time during the stay. Shortening the stay follows the same rules as for cancellation.

 

ALL CHANGES MUST BE MADE IN WRITING BY EMAIL OR MESSAGE. Verbal changes are not considered valid.

 

The following rules apply to cancellations outside of high season:

a) Cancellation up to 21 days before the stay is free of charge.
b) Cancellation fee less than 21 days before the agreed date is paid with 500 NOK.
c) Cancellation up to 14 days before the agreed date is covered by 50% of the original cost for the entire stay.
d) Cancellation less than 14 days before the agreed check-in is charged for the entire period as agreed.

 

If agreed invoicing:

Unless otherwise agreed, if cancellation, the dog's owners will be invoiced according to the information provided with a 10-day payment deadline. Late payment interest according to the interest rate applicable at any time.

 

Other:

No discount is given for check-out before the agreed pick-up date.

If upon arrival it turns out that the dog does not have a valid vaccination and/or valid vaccination certificate, and therefore cannot enter the guesthouse, the stay must still be paid in full according to the rules for cancellation.

 

If additional services are agreed, this must be confirmed by both parties for this to be valid.
